About Giftafari

Giftafari is a shared gift list for families, friend groups, and anyone who buys gifts for the same people year after year. Save gift ideas when you see them, keep a list for each person or occasion, and let buyers claim gifts without the recipient finding out.

Why it exists

Gift ideas show up all year: a link in the group chat, a hint at dinner, a screenshot in July. By the birthday, the link is buried and two people bought the same thing. Giftafari gives the whole group one place to keep those ideas and one way to say “I’ve got this one” without spoiling the surprise.

How it works

A group holds the people you buy for, including people who never sign up, like babies or a grandparent who ignores every invite. Each person or occasion gets a list. Paste a product link and Giftafari turns it into a gift with a title, image, and price. Signed-in buyers claim gifts. Other buyers see the gift is covered. The recipient does not.

Giftafari is in early access. Accounts, lists, claims, the REST API, CLI, and MCP connections are available now.

  • Lists for a person, a household, a wedding, a classroom, or a trip.
  • Private claims, so gifts stay a surprise.
